Victoria Crowned Pigeons (related to the extinct Dodo) are native to New Guinea. They’re the largest pigeons in the world, being about the size of a turkey. They can live 25 years, are monogamous and mate for life. Sadly, only a few thousand are left due to hunting and habitat destruction.
